I guess that is my point.  Who is in charge of promulgating the information 
to the beekeeping public, the press and the public in a clear manner?

If Wikipedia can't get it right, and the MAAREC page is less than 
definitive, then how am I -- or Bob -- supposed to keep up if we don't read 
every obscure publication and just think we can do a web search and find for 
something authoritative?

For that matter, do the authorities agree on recognising CCD?  Some of the 
criteria are quite "unscientific" to my eyes.  What is "rapid"?  Is that a 
scientific term that has somehow eluded me?

What are "damaging levels"?  Is that a measurement of some sort?
