I don't think gnashing your teeth at the group is going to achieve your
goals. From the little bit of research that I've done on hive beetles, it's
a new enough problem that there is not a great deal of consensus on how to
deal with them (at least here in the Northeast).

FWIW - your response indicates that you're hoping for a panacea; some sort
of magic wand to make the problem go away. From my relatively brief
experience in beekeeping, it seems obvious that these panaceas do not
exist - we have to be creative, industrious, and persistent to find
solutions to these problems. We also have to be willing to adapt ideas to
our own circumstance, and experiment. Yelling at our busy peers because
they don't rush to our aid serves no one, and fails utterly to solve your
problem. I personally find this list to be an absolute treasure, and value
the opinions offered to my questions, whether there's only one, or ten.

My additional advice:

   - call your state bee inspector
   - search the archives
   - search the net (an incredible resource for the persistent)
   - as Bob Harrison pointed out, seek aid through your local beekeepers &
associations
   - at least try the simple suggestion I offered before dismissing it

Regards, and good luck.

Todd.
