Maybe this would not work for Italians, but what about "Apis cereane"?
(sp?)
"Apis cereane" bees are the only type of feral bees here.

Sorry I did not tell you that I live In Hong Kong. The season to start
collecting feral hives here is coming up soon. (the winters here are
mild)
