One of the biggest problems facing the use of bee venom for arthritis or any other malady is because nobody 
wants to study it because there is no money to be made.
There are a few people around who sell live bees just for the purpose stinging themselves due to arthritis.  
There is also a book titled, "Bees Don’t Get Arthritis.”
