I would speculate that what queen producers are hawking is not what
they are delivering.

Open mated queens are a crap shoot.  Is it incumbent on the provider
or the buyer to verify claims of hygienics?  My opinion is if one
wants assurances, they should pay more than the going price for a mass
produced product.
