I think I mentioned this before, but it is possible to contaminate the
honey with liquid smoke, if not careful.  Of course bee smokers can
flavour the honey if used to great excess, but the aerosols are much more
likely to do so.  I've had people come to me and ask why their honey
tastes 'off' and it turned out this was the reason.
