Is it a fair statement to say that " it is clearly not a cut and dried answer to the question as to how nosema is  implicated in colony mortality or increasing productivity, it depends on geographical regions, seasonality and underlying colony health conditions"? Sorry a long question......

Answering the above question might help in answering the justification of using fumagillin. I don't think a beekeeper will spend money without expecting and gaining benefit in return. In my experience If he does not see he will not spend it.
