I was born in 1953 and I learned about munitions and rationing from somewhere. I don't know where.

I do know where I learned about the Governor of Virginia reporting on the Gross Colonial Product in 1720 (or somewhere about then, I forget exactly) reporting on a list of products from the Colony of Virginia which was 5 or 6 items long and included Beeswax. Beeswax which was exported to Madeira. Nothing about honey.

There is more to beekeeping and products from the hive than Pollination and Honey. It appears as though in the present day that pollination is of greater benefit to society than domestic honey production and it may always have been so. But what about the wax? What is that being used for? What economic impact does domestically produced beeswax have? Or are there other places in the World where beeswax is sought for US use?
