    Some considerable years ago, when one could by board ends from the mill, 
I purchased a couple pallet loads of shiplap that were planed on one side 
only. Made lots of supers with these and still many in service. They indeed 
have more propolis than any of my smooth supers. Can't get board ends here 
any more. [:>(
