I know that some on this list have a dim view of petitions (especially
regarding neonics) and I myself am often frustrated by petitions that seem
to not understand the complexities of the issue.

But here on Prince Edward Island we are facing a fairly high possibility of
importing small hive beetle (so far an exotic pest here) when we import
hives from the Niagara area of Ontario in a few weeks for blueberry
pollination.

I have started a petition to our minister of agriculture asking for more
controls on this. This issue is explained in the petition. If you have a
moment you might find it interesting and if you want to sign it, it would
be appreciated. Perhaps add a comment as a beekeeper if you like.

Thanks
