Greetings,
these nucs are actually made here in Quebec under licence from the
"beekeeper who winters 3,000 nucs this way". His claim holds water and the
box holds the syrup! His experience holds good for him living in northern
Alberta and wintering in British Columbia.  Here in Quebec they do not
winter too well outside ( a lot colder than B.C.) but very well inside.
It's "rapido presto" to transfer them in the spring!  He says he has some
boxes which are over 8 years old. These are a high quality product, and the
bees don't eat the styrofoam. They will need a screened cover for ALL warm
weather moving - or ........
