I hear you. I also hear a lot of people saying they don't need miticides at all and a lot of others saying they need amitraz and maybe something stronger. So, it would appear to me that the primary difference is the scale and mode of operation. Some isolated apiaries may not need treating, some large migratory operations may need constant treatment. But the big question mark for me is what do package bee shippers do? They always seem to have plenty of bees for sale. Which is fine with me, I buy them. I wish this list had more insight into the real world of bee commerce. Just saying.
