I was in the market for an incubator and found the discussion useful about a month ago. Bob pointed out the lack of thermostat control on most low cost units. 

So I did some research and made some calls. The Zoo-Med incubator

has a proportional thermostat folks told me was the tightest control range as compared to wafer or electronic versions. This incubator is economically priced and also has a water reservoir and humidity readout. The website I posted is out of stock until the end of May and other outlets said as much - they are all waiting for a new shipment but I did find a couple yet online and ordered one.
