An item in UK's Beecraft mag, Dec 2004, says " Reasearchers in South Korea
have indicated that mellitin, a powerful anti-inflammatory and the principle
peptide in bee venom, could be the agent behind venom's anti-arthritic
effects."
Does that seem likely?
