It has been well documented that a queen mated to only one Africanized drone can lead to an aggressive colony.  This work was done by II so there is no question what the queen mated with.  Mitochondrial DNA tells you exactly nothing other than the linage is either unbroken on the queen side going back to Scuts or is broken on the queen side and traces back to non African.  But, what it traces back to on the queen side is irrelevant as none of the aggression genes reside on the mitochondria.  If the aggression genes did reside on the mitochondria it would make no difference what drones your queens mated to yet we have known for a long time that mating Africanized drones to European queens leads to hot hives.  Thus, you can easy enough have a queen that has Africanized mitochondria and yet is 100% European on the nuclear DNA.  You can also easy enough have a queen with European mitochondria that has lots or even mostly African nuclear DNA and is hot as a pistol.  As only the nuclear DNA counts knowing the mitochondial type tells you exactly nothing.  This is exactly what most mitochondrial studies tell you, with the exception where you are looking at evolution pathways and want to construct a family tree and maybe even find out where the mitochondrial Eve for honey bees came from.
