Bob asked if DDT was still being produced and used in Mexico. In 1997 Mexico
committed to phasing out the use of DDT in 10 years.  They exceeded their
goal: production ceased in 1997 and use was ended in 2000.

As to the Indonesian factory--as of 2007 it was still producing DDT, but the
only countries I could find listed for currently producing DDT are India and
China.  Ironically, India has banned the use of DDT in agriculture and
exports the factory production to eight African countries.

I'm going to add a disclaimer to the above--there's a lot of information out
there that's questionable (I'm being kind) and I've used ones that seem to
be the most reliable.  If someone feels they have better sources with
different data, please share.
