Well, of course you are right, and you are quite welcome to
post your financial results, but I have no idea who you are.

They might interest Dee, and if you are big commercial
and if I have decoded her cryptic message correctly,
inspire her to tell the rest of her story.

So far we only have been given half the story.

Personally, I don't keep a P&L for my bee activity separately
from my many other activities any longer. I have no need to.
I know I am a hobbyist and losing money, although I hope to break
even at some point.

Actually, I was addressing Dee and not requesting such detailed
information.

I merely asked what sort of yields she gets with her system
since she is promoting her operation as a paragon and as a
commercial system, and offered my own yields since she seemed
to be asking.

A P&L is a lot to ask for, but a drum or poundage and a hive
count is simple enough most of us can do it without a lot of
effort.

Most beekeepers are interested in the yields other beekeepers
get and seem less interested in whether the others claim to be
making money or not. Yields can be measured. Profits figures
are subject to considerable interpretation and manipulation.

Of course we know and have discussed many times that honey
yields do not translate directly into profit, but we can
get a good idea from yields if there is any prayer of profit.

I don't think you need a P&L to see that I am losing money
in bees lately, and yes, I am rated as agricultural although
I would not claim to be a commercial beekeeper at this point.
A retired commercial beekeeper, yes.

The question is Dee still a commercial beekeeper or has
she, like me, become a hobbyist.
