Gerardo,
Bees will take the dry powder at times but in my opinion the patties are the
best way to go. Mann Lake I believe sells a dry powder feeder which many of
the beeks use. They say will keep their powder dry.
I have never used or seen used.
I have placed powder in yards in homemade feeders (old ammunition boxes with
holes for the bees) but I prefer the patties.
Many ways to make but for a small batch made with a drywall mixer the key is
to start with maybe half the powder being mixed into the syrup. Then keep
adding each until looks like peanut butter.
Batches get easier as you learn.
A metal washtub works better than a 5 gallon pail in my opinion if using a
drywall mixer with a half inch drill.
A cement mixer or mortar mixer works for larger patty batches.
