Came home to find ants in the basement pantry.  Mixed syrup and borax
as above, in a plastic 35mm film cannister.  Drilled an 1/8" hole in
the lid and set it directly in the path of the ants.  Later there was
a bee-line to the cannister.  Much later that day a dwindling line of
ants.  The next day few ants and now none.  This stuff works great.
