I read an article somewhere last year that advanced the theory that bees
should be wintered on honey that they made from sugar syrup or corn syrup.
The author's reasoning was that honey contains a lot of indigestible solids
and sugar corn syrup do not.  This requires fewer cleansing flights in
winter since the syrups are essentially pure energy to the bees.
