On the futures exchange, recent world sugar prices are way up.  
 
In the United States, we've always had to pay higher prices due to governmental "protection" plans for U.S. sugar producers.  World sugar prices have been historically cheaper.
 
I always think it's a good thing to anticipate increases and let others know.  I am not looking for a huge increase, just a more equitable balance between what we pay and what the world is looking at.
 
It reminds me of a story that took place during World War II.  A very kind woman came into the dry goods store and filled her shopping cart, to the top, with several bags of sugar, flour and a host of other goods that were rationed.
 
The clerk says, "I'm sorry, ma'am, but I can't let you buy all those products.  There's a war going on and everything is rationed."
 
In her kindness, she simply replied, "But I just wanted to get here before all the hoarders bought everything in plain sight."
