I'm located in SW Alabama, so it's warm a lot of the time.  Up until this past year, I've worn long sleeved shirts with the sleeves rolled up to the forearm preventing bees from crawling further up my arm, no gloves, regular trousers, and a hat and veil.  This past summer my bees were very docile to I went out a couple of times in a t-shirt w/ veil, not problems.  I'm incorporating new genetics into my yard so until I determine how they, and my established hives, behave; I will revert back to rolled up long-sleeved shirt and veil.
