I agree that this statement ("...varroa is not a problem for the majority of beekeepers...") is false.

Best I can tell (and forgive me if I'm mistaken), this was meant to be a paraphrase of what I said in my previous post?

"for the majority of beekeepers..., mites can be managed without miticides..."

...this is quite different than claiming that varroa is not a problem for those beekeepers...heck, I know some that overwinter 3 nucs for every production hive so they don't have to use miticides....that is still quite a problem to deal with, even if miticides aren't used.

So, I'm not sure what the point is...who claimed that varroa is not a problem for the majority of beekeepers?
