Of course I meant:  resistance in varroa to amitraz, as well as resistance in foulbrood to antibiotics. But the point is we are applying these substances in our bee colonies, and there are populations of bees which exhibit these phenomena. 

I may never apply a chemical but it is entirely likely that the fact that others do will have an effect on my bees and what I am able to do. Therefore, I try to pay attention to reports of resistance, efficacy, etc. that others are experiencing.
