Hi Joe,
These do not look like unusual frames for August 2001 with mite pressure.

Brood patterns that I see these days in spring and early summer are usually
solid, but by Aug/Sept frequently deteriorate.  With stock with VSH, I would
generally be seeing a few pupae being pulled out on each frame in August.
