That is very true... A good many years ago I attempted to get some boxes
made in New Zealand by someone that had similar exacting standards to
myself... When it is winter in England it is High summer in NZ and the
drying dynamics just don't mix.

This was the problem that the intermediate stacking was developed to
overcome, it did it's job and the method became a way of life. As it happens
Allen mentioned furniture manufacture and it was from a furniture
manufacturer that I learned the technique.
