Dear Bee Listers,

Just my 2 cents worth.

I have been keeping a rather hardy colony of bees (a.m.) in a two frame
observation hive. Throuhgout 3 years, I have never applied any miticides or
even substitutes (FGMO, etc.). No varroa!

There are 5, 1 inch screened holes at the bottom of the observation hive. I
harvest a frame of brood every two weeks, just to keep them from swarming.
And, they have been ok for three years! During the honey season, we can even
get a small harvest of honey frames from her!
