You said only #1 on my list made sense.  So,be sure to remember  that the 
pesticide lab can do multiple pesticides in the same sample, but  can't do some 
others.  Any chance of Chemigation??
 
If I am not mistaken, the pesticide analysis may miss things  soluble in 
water. Drip systems can leak, making chemical laced water  available to bees.
