Hi All

We lost our hydro Mon Dec 23 at 7pm. Lights back on an hour ago at
12 noon Fri Dec 27. Two of our kids lost hydro also, one daughter was
missed by the storm as was our son in Ireland. Our family Christmas
will be Sunday Dec 29, hope our 32 pound turkey can wait that long.
I had 48 messages, most from Bee-L. The damage to trees is extensive
throughout our region. Toronto (AKA tree city) was heavily hit with
many thousands without hydro and their infamous mayor, Rob Ford,
making the most of the publicity.

Belated Merry Christmas to all, hoping you and your families are
well. Hope the rest of the holiday season treats you well wherever
you are

I had one confirmed dead hive that was obvious because there was no
snow melt around it. The cold weather before the ice storm prevented
me from getting some fondant on it in time. It was one of three
light hives that I worried about. A pure case of PPB. The days are
getting longer and the sun is shining, my mites were very low this
past autumn and all hives are very strong, most will lots of stores.
Looking forward to 2014 bee season
