I think the main point of the website that Randy provided
http://www.gaiaresearch.co.za/organics.html was that
common foods rather routinely contain naturally occurring
pesticides and/or other chemicals that turn out to be animal
carcinogens or mutagens when tested the same way synthetic
pesticides are tested.

Recently, for example, some restaurants in California
have been posting a warning sign that says: "certain foods
or beverages sold here including french fries and coffee
may contain acrylamide, a chemical known by the State
of California to cause cancer or birth defects or other
reproductive harm."

http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/risk/acrylamide-in-food

"Acrylamide is considered to be a mutagen and a probable
human carcinogen, based mainly on studies in laboratory
animals"

So what chemical company makes Acrylamide and why
is it added to the above foods? Bayer? Syngenta? Dupont?
Dow?

Answer: Acrylamide is not added to foods - it forms
naturally when certain foods are heated above 248 degrees.

Examples of common food products that contain Acrylamide
(in ppb):

M&M's Milk Chocolate Candy 21
Seattles Best Medium Roast Coffee 91
Orowheat OatNut Bread 20
Wonder Potato Bread 58
General Mills Cherrios 61
Kelloggs Raisin Bran 101
Health Valley oat bran graham crackers 1540
Kroger pitted prunes 87
Sunsweet Prune Juice 239
Burger King Hash Browns 768
