And indeed, Ronald, they must have been trying to make a drone queen
The next frame (inserted 1 week later) had 3 normal cells
These frames all shallow, I keep my bees in 2.5 boxes, shallow on top
The other hive (mother to all these), late to lay, drone layer, got a frame, at least 2 (unsealed) cells
So, early new queens, maybe
