I encourage you to expand your apiary, Joe.  But don't underestimate
yourself--you are only counting your queen mothers.  Your drone mothers are
likely mostly ferals.  It is a two way street--the ferals are inseminating
your queens, and your colonies likely throw swarms and drones out into the
woods.  Even though you are small scale, it seems that you are doing great
work!
