> Api-Life Var is the best miticide available in the US today! The varroa mite shows no resistance to it and it is not harmful to the bees or to the beekeeper!! Does not contaminate the comb. Another safe, easy to use alternative to the "Hard Chemicals". Api-Life is a thymol based miticide which is suitable for organic use. Sold in Europe for over 14 years, and has remained affective, without mite resistance. Safe for your bees, not nasty chemicals. Api-Life VAR is a formulation of Thymol, Eucalytol, Menthol, and Camphor. The active ingredient, Thymol, is not an essential oil but rather a purified form. The same effectiveness cannot be achieved with essential oils.

> Easy to use. It is 95% effective while leaving the least residue of any product available to beekeepers (legal or illegal). Treat each colony by breaking 1 wafer into 4 pieces and placing around the brood nest. Leave 7 to 10 days and replace with another wafer and after 7 to 10 days replace for a 3rd time. This will complete the treatment. Treatment most effective at average daytime temperatures of 65°. What is better: to lose your bees and impregnate your combs with poisons that will affect you for years? or visit your colonies three time in 21 to 30 days and kill the mites at a approximately 95% knock down if used correctly and leave no harmful residuals??!!!
