Let's say that we use the  figure of 150 mg of pollen to rear one adult bee
(which would be a pretty good feed conversion ratio).
.
And that a queen is laying 1500 eggs/day.

That equals 225 g of pollen/day, or about 150 lbs over 10 months.

A pollen trap typically traps about half the incoming pollen, so if you're
trapping less than 225 g per day, pollen trapping will likely cause the
colony to restrict broodrearing.
