I have a bit of a request of fellow bee-l people. A bit of observation from those of you with oil trays and some level of SHB.

I am suspecting and have found some evidence that SHB are breeding in a continuous cycle, in tiny amounts. I know that SHB larve will crawl out the front of the hive, but suspect a few get caught in oil trays also.

Keep an eye out for the OCCASIONAL SHB larve in a tray, not the whole yuck it collapsed level, but ones and twos. Let me know if you see some, it will take some looking that’s for sure.

Thanks
Charles
