I discovered last night that a hornet had decided to build a nest near my
sliding glass door in the back of the house. I'm thinking about using a
concentrated Sevin spray (i.e., 72% concentration poured into an old 409
bottle set to squirt a stream) to spray the single hornet that is there
now. Given that this is a high traffic area (it's the best path to get to
my BBQ grill and deck) I want to make sure that these things don't return
any time soon. I've read about the benefits of cypermethrin but I need
something that will last a while.

My beehives are a fair distance away (at least 75 feet) - does this pose
much of a threat to the bees?

thanks,
Jason
