breeding in genetic sense). 

Thanks so much Ko de Witt for responding.  Sometime
ago ‘if I recall correctly’ it was a topic of researching 
the fascinating world distribution of bees, I believe 
several of the documents cited Bienenzüchtungskunde.
My research into Bienenzüchtungskunde was abandoned
because I could not find a translation of this work.
If a biographical sketch of Ludwig Armbruster exists,
this would be a valuable addition to the Historical
Honeybee Articles archives.
