I don't know if any of you guys picked up on our dilemma in Michigan. The AP 
called me up for an interview. 

Some folks in the wildlife sector in the Fed. and Mich. state govt. want to 
return our flora mix to a previous era in time. I would argue that nature is 
always changing through time in regards to flora succession. Michigan is #2 to 
California in agricultural diversity and our ag sector is greatly enhanced with 
direct and incidental pollination with a robust bee industry with hives 
everywhere. If we lose this honey plant, we will have to find another area to 
summer on. Our soil is poor sand which Star Thistle, aka. Knapweed thrives on. 
Farmers can easily control it.
