I found the same and we also found lightly wetting new gloves made the
gloves fit the hand better. Over wetting will produce *yellow* fingers but
not a permanent condition.

the same wetting will work for a new pair of leather boots if one will wet
and wear while drying. (discovered by accident in the bee yard!)

For years we bought the better grade of hard leather gloves but it took too
long to *break in* so now I buy the goatskin gloves from Bucko gloves
(cheap). We usually change gloves due to reasons other than tears most of
the time.

I rarely wear gloves but my help always does. I want to keep my full
immunity up and my help wants to avoid all stings. To avoid a severe
reaction for those which work bees regularly I recommend the same.
Beekeepers which have been keeping bees their entire life have been known to
have a severe reaction with anaphylactic shock when the full immunity is not
kept up. Not sure why.

Full immunity (I have been told) needs around a 150 stings a year. A figure
so low I have not seen in decades. Most hobby beeks might get 5-15 a year
which I have been told is not enough for a full immunity. (source Dr. Steve
Carlston at an ABF meeting)

Glove technology is lacking like shirt & blue jean sizes were years ago.
Small , medium & large and extra large needs to have half sizes in between
and a XX large also added.

Does the list agree with me as makers of gloves read the list?

For hobby beekeepers a pair of bee gloves might last the beekeeper for many
years. A long time for a improper fitting glove.?

Thinking little details matter.
