In experiments with separators for making comb honey, I have tried many
materials. One was ordinary 1/8 inch wire mesh. The bees like it fine but
often draw comb upon it, marring the section of comb honey. What is
amazing is that the comb drawn is sometimes worker size. What would induce
the bees to do such a thing.
