Simpler. A heavy 2x4, approx 22'' long
2 heavy nails(16d) headless, one square the other slightly tilted out
At square nail is a long tapered wedge (3'' long, 1->4mm thick)
to allow for variable length of frames (must be hardwood, softwood
will groove too quickly). Squeezes frames ~4-5mm when between nails
Wire roll mounted on end with tilted nail. String wire before squeezing
Half the sqeeze is from tilt, half when inserting
Makes nice musical note
Not so good for many wires, but bees don't like that either
