Hi folks,

Lately the list has been off topic and frankly, quite snarky.

Please try to keep on topic, and when you disagree with a topic, if you
must, attack the topic and not the author.  Suggestions as to how an author
needs to augment their education by doing X is different than an
observation that pertinent information can be found at X.  The later is a
civil addition to the discussion; the former is an insult to the
contributing author.

This post is not directed at any particular contributor, there have been
snarks aplenty lately.
