An interesting question, in deed!
 
Harkening back to all my animal nutrition classes in college, it's not always the gross protein level, but the amino acids that really count.  When one is in short supply, it affects the overall nutritional quality.  Digestibility and palatability are also important.  Randy Oliver been a pioneer in these efforts.
 
I'd be game to try it experimentally.  I wonder if it will attract the SHB like other leading commercial supplements?
 
Do you have a source for larger, bulk quantities of Quinoa?
