When a whole slew of fund-raising machines urge everyone to "write their
congressperson":

or

or "tell the EPA", using a handy widget on their website:

and not a single group of beekeepers are listed among the supporters, what
is one to think?

What I think is that this is yet another exploitation of the problems of
bees and beekeepers to fill the coffers of groups that will never give a
dime of the money to any actual research, but will instead, endlessly
self-promote, and further fundraise, calling it "outreach" and "awareness".

"Send us money to finance our crucial fundraising appeals and we will email
your names to congressional aides who will be utterly unimpressed with such
obvious astro-turfing! Send your donation TODAY!"
