This does not make sense to me and I have never heard of infection getting
out of hand. Sure, there are occasions when a sting sight develops a pustile.
I find it very unlikely that a beesting would cause an infection. Perhaps
the itching that followed caused the child to scratch open a wound and that
wound was infected by outside bacteria.
