I was recently asked by a fellow beekeeper to do some cut comb. I replied
that I had tried in the past, but the foundation often buckled and the frame
then became useless. He said that he never had that problem because he only
used a one inch starter strip, and it always worked out fine. Next year I
plan to put on a few supers doing this and see what happens. I do get a lot
of requests for comb honey, which I've always had to turn down.
