Experienced beekepers will tell you that re-queening hives once there are
laying workers is one of the most difficult if not impossible tasks to perform
in beekeeping.
I have tried untold times, and usually, the queen is balled and lost. At
present, the only remedy that I employ is to take the entire hive a distance
frrom its locattion and shake off the bees on the ground and process the
frames for wax.
