There is a very good reference book (in 2 volumes) by Stan Kelly published
by Nelson in 1969. The author painted in watercolour eucalypt species
including fruit and there are descriptions of size and trunk which are
helpful in identification. You may find these books in public libraries.
Alternatively, when puzzled by botanical specimens, I take leaf and flower
to our local Botanic Gardens.
