Hello John,
I have used Combat Outdoor ant killing granules, with good
results. These granules are placed UNDER the hives. The ants carry them back
to the nest, where the granules are eaten by the colony including the
queen.They are a little expensive($7.99),but do the job.Also,awhile back
Someone suggested using a spray adhesive, such as Bordens. The adhesive is not
strong enough to affect the bees but will discourage the ants, this could be
used in spots where ants are tunneling into the wood.Good Luck,
