Hello Everyone,
I have been using Pierco frames for five years now with excellent
results. When I find the bees not drawing the wax coated frames or
foundation, I apply melted beeswax to the top area of the frame(You don't
have to cover the whole frame) with a foam brush, this starts them drawing
very well. This year I've used two cases of deep black Pierco and had to
apply wax on more of them than in years past, I don't know if warehouse
storage conditions or stinginess with wax was the problem or not, but I sure
enjoyed the time saved from not assembling over 100 frames.
Regards,
